Profile

I obtained my PhD from McGill University, Canada at 1985 in Civil Engineering.  I worked at Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Irrigation and Hydraulic Department as a professor of irrigation structure design, I also worked as a head of irrigation department at Pacer Consultants.  Most of my work was design and construction supervision of several projects  in cooperation with German and American consulting firms. Now, I teach three undergraduate courses First: HWR 342 which is about management of urban water systems, Second: HWR 422 which is about desigen of hydraulic structures (see photo album) and Third: HWR 443 which is about design of water networks.  Also I teach Four graduate courses, on MSc. level HWR 621 Surface Water Hydraulics and HWR 651 Design of Urban Water Networks and on PhD level HWR 775 Advanced Hydraulics and HWR 641 Advanced Design of Urban Water Networks.  

I participated in several research projects about water management and protection against flash floods.

On consultation Level, I participated in several projects related to Dam design and protection against flashflood.
